This page explains your data protection rights under the EU/UK GDPR, the legal basis we rely on to process data, and exactly how Google AdSense ad consent works on Temp To Mail.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a European Union law that gives individuals in the EU/EEA control over their personal data, and the UK GDPR extends the same protections to UK residents post-Brexit. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, this page describes specifically how Temp To Mail meets its obligations to you.
For the purposes of GDPR, Temp To Mail, operating at temptomail.com, acts as the data controller for the limited data described in our Privacy Policy (contact form submissions and aggregate analytics). For advertising cookies set directly by Google AdSense, Google LLC acts as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
You can reach our privacy contact at info@temptomail.com.
GDPR requires a valid legal basis for every processing activity. Here is the basis we rely on for each activity on Temp To Mail:
| Activity | Legal Basis |
|---|---|
| Generating and delivering your temporary inbox | Legitimate interest / performance of the service you requested (Art. 6(1)(b) & (f)) |
| Essential/session cookies | Strictly necessary — no consent required under ePrivacy rules |
| Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — only loaded after you accept via the banner |
| Personalized advertising cookies (Google AdSense) | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — only loaded after you accept via the banner |
| Responding to contact form submissions | Legitimate interest in answering your inquiry (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time — see How Consent Works below.
On your first visit, a cookie consent banner appears with two clear choices: Accept All or Reject All. Nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies is set until you make a choice, and your choice is stored so the banner does not reappear on other pages of this site.
You can change your mind at any time from the Cookie Policy page, which shows your current consent status and lets you reset it — this immediately brings the banner back so you can choose again.
Google requires publishers to obtain consent from users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland before using cookies or other local storage for personalized advertising, under its EU User Consent Policy. Here is what that means in practice on Temp To Mail:
For the full list of cookies AdSense may set and what Google collects, see the Google AdSense section of our Privacy Policy.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the following rights over any personal data we hold about you:
Ask what personal data we hold about you, if any.
Ask us to correct inaccurate data, e.g. a contact form submission.
Ask us to delete your data — most temp-mail data is already auto-deleted.
Ask us to limit how we use your data in specific cases.
Request a copy of data you gave us in a portable format.
Object to processing based on legitimate interest, including analytics.
Withdraw cookie/ad consent at any time via the Cookie Policy page.
File a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Because Temp To Mail does not require accounts and does not retain identifiable data beyond your active session, most of these rights are satisfied automatically by our architecture — there is usually nothing stored to access, correct, or delete after your session ends.
Some of our service providers — including Google (Analytics, AdSense) and Cloudflare (CDN/security) — may process data outside the EEA/UK, including in the United States. Where this occurs, these providers rely on mechanisms such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to lawfully transfer data internationally. We do not independently transfer any personal data outside these established provider frameworks.
If you believe we have not handled your personal data in accordance with GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your EU/EEA member state, or with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are in the UK. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern directly first — please contact us at info@temptomail.com.
We aim to respond to all GDPR requests within one month, as required by Article 12(3) of the GDPR. This page is provided for transparency and does not constitute legal advice; if you need a formal legal compliance review, please consult a qualified privacy lawyer in your jurisdiction.
